CORPORAL PUNISHMENT: SHORT AND LONG-TERM EFFECTS IN TODAY'S SOCIETY
Details
The central theoretical argument of this book is that children have rights legally, ethically and in the light of Scripture which must be observed in the family and in the society at large. The children, as God's creation in His image with unlimited covenantal relationship with God should enjoy their rights of fair treatment as humans, who also share in God's Natural law, common grace and God's judgment. More so, the fact that God reigns and rules over all humans empower their rights and invalidate all forms of inhuman treatment, corporal punishment and physical abuse.
