Details
The book is written on the research conducted to determine the creditworthiness of a company/firm. To do the analysis, the firm i.e. Dera Ghazi Khan Cement Company (D. G. Khan Cement Company) has been selected for analysis purpose and its secondary data was obtained from the audited financial (annual) statements of the company and are used for analysis and assessment of financial stability. To examine the creditworthiness of company different tools that are used i.e. liquidity analysis, capital structure and solvency analysis, du pont analysis and comparative analysis of balance sheet and profit and loss account income statement. The required data is gathered from annual reports and financial statements i.e. Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flow Statements for last 12 years i.e. from 2000-01 to 2011-12. The empirical results are analyzed on the basis of ratios. Liquidity and solvency ratios help to assess the creditworthiness of a company and it guides investors and shareholders to take effective decision.
