Details

The results obtained from this work have shown that the high strength steel produced by thermomechanical treatment exhibited reduced corrosion rate than that those produced by hot rolling techniques. The degree of corrosion resistance varied from one cooling condition to another. The results correlate with obtained microstructures to a great extent. Also this work shows that the selection of the cooling process parameter should consider the corrosion factor as the rebars subjected to different treatments showed different general corrosion rates in the current test conditions.
