This book is unique study about corrosion and wear behavior based on microstructure investigation for aluminum-silicon alloy (A356) prepared by using the high intensity ultrasonic vibration (UST). Characterization and investigation of the corrosion inhibition of Al-Si alloy in neutral solution by mean of the rare earth metals are also dealt with. This study may be used as guide for automotive industries.

Dr. Ahmed Abd El Aziz is professor in the materials engineering department, German University in Cairo. He obtained his Ph.D. from TU Dresden, Germany. He has guided many post graduate and under graduate projects in the field of Materials Science. He has a number of research papers to his credit. His field of specialization is corrosion.
