Cost Management in Agribusiness

For some years, farming in Brazil was seen as a business that had the capacity to provide good economic results. However, times have changed, and although agribusiness is a segment with great productive capacity, financial control is needed to improve results. Among the challenges that rural companies need to overcome is the ability to manage their resources effectively: increasing productivity, avoiding waste and reducing costs, in order to optimize profitability with the aim of making the business competitive in an increasingly demanding market. With this in mind, this book presents the theory of cost management in agribusiness and focuses on the applicability of cost management tools in a family-run rural business, enabling the analysis and discussion of results through a practical approach.

She has a degree in Business Administration from the Federal University of Pelotas - UFPEL (2012) and a specialization in Public Management from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS (2015). She is a farmer and has professional experience in Administration, working in the following areas: finance, agribusiness and cooperatives.
