This book provides a critical analysis of the events and management of the COVID-19 Pandemic in Peru and describes and analyzes the devastating impact of this pandemic on Peru, a country that experienced three epidemiological waves with all variants of SARS-CoV2, The book describes and analyzes the devastating impact of this pandemic on Peru, a country that experienced three epidemiological waves with all variants of SARS-CoV2, with the highest mortality rate in the world and which revealed the serious absence of an integrated health system and the weak infrastructure of hospital care, generating serious health and social economic consequences mainly due to inadequate political and health management by the government and social communication strategies that were focused on hospital medical care, leaving aside the social spaces of public health. The book's analysis leaves important lessons learned that will be extremely useful to effectively face future pandemics.
