Details

This analysis studies the influence of covid19 starting from a theoretical analysis before giving an applied empirical evaluation on thirteen high-income countries. The analysis is based on an econometric method with panel data using a fixed effects regression (within regression). In terms of results, both the hours of work lost as a result of covid19 and the hours actually worked reduced labor costs, while the number of covid19 infections influenced the increase in labor costs. Thus, covid19 exerted a significant influence on labor costs in high-income countries between 2020 and 2021.
