Creation theology and values education

This book attempts to clarify whether and how creation theology and values education can be interlinked in a religious education context. Different approaches to the doctrine of creation and an overview of creation myths form the basis for explaining the biblical worldview, with theological anthropology at the centre of the considerations. With the concepts of Kohlberg and Gilligan, reflections on value education and the formation of moral judgement are made and illuminated from a constructivist perspective in relation to the curriculum for Catholic religion at Austrian primary schools. Why it makes sense to link creation theology and values education and why the two fields can hardly be separated from each other is shown, among other things, with examples from Laudato Si'.
