Creative Commons Licenses (CC) are a part of the recent trend in Copyright licenses which aim to keep the Information Economy open. CC present an option, to emerging economies like India, in creative content generation and developing their Public Commons in this age of hyper-protectionism within the world information economy. This book tries to understand the CC and their relevance to such an end, namely Indian copyright regime and economy and, furthermore, illustrates as to how Indian information economy may assimilate them in its prevalent practices.
