Credible Organic Tools: Novel and Novel Plus Organic Liquid Nutrients

Indian bean is a bushy semi-erect herb, botanically known as Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet and belongs to the family Fabaceae. Green pods and seeds of Indian bean are highly nutritive. It is commonly known as Field bean, Hyacinth bean, Dolichos bean, Egyptian bean, Bonavist bean, Sem and locally known as 'Papdi'. It is a multipurpose crop grown as pulse, vegetable and forage. Nowadays the use of organic nutrients in crops is a hot trend and it increases crop yield without any adverse effects on the ecology. The Novel organic liquid nutrient is a product of Navsari Agricultural University which was patented in the year 2012. It is prepared from banana pseudostem sap. Novel Plus organic liquid nutrient is an upgraded product of Navsari Agricultural University similar to Novel organic liquid nutrient but it has additional insecticidal properties which are due to the incorporation of different botanicals in the formulation. Here in this book, detailed research work on "Effectiveness of various concentrations of Novel and Novel Plus organic liquid nutrient on growth, yield and economics of Indian bean [Lablab purpureus (L.) Sweet]" is described.
