Critical Factors of Industry 4.0 Applied to Smart Homes

With each new era of the industrial revolution, there are major changes in the way products are produced, distributed and consumed, significantly affecting both social and political aspects as well as the environment, gradually impacting the way we work, live and relate to each other. And when it comes to applying the Internet of Things to Smart Houses, it is possible to highlight some factors that are considered "critical" and must be properly managed in order to successfully apply the new housing concept. The aim of this paper, in addition to listing these success factors, is also to provide a greater understanding of the subject and add to its growth from a theoretical point of view, highlighting the fact that everyday life is increasingly becoming dependent on new technologies.
