Cross-sectoral engagement in the Russian regions

Cross-sectoral interaction is a topical issue in Russia concerning relations between governmental institutions, businesses and non-profit organisations. The book develops a set of approaches to effective use of intersectoral interaction infrastructure to optimise social management in Russia's regions. An analysis is given of the latest Russian experience in forming mechanisms of inter-sectoral interaction, as well as of the necessary legal and legislative framework for this. Based on sociological research the main problems and directions of improving the mechanisms of interaction between government, business and NGOs in the Republic of Mordovia are defined. A system of inter-sectoral interaction is suggested, which can be considered as a basis for a future effective model of cooperation between the three sectors in the region. The book can be used in the practical work of executive and legislative authorities at the federal, regional and local levels to develop and implement projects to solve social problems and harmonize the social management system.
