Cultural and Linguistic Hybridity in Postcolonial Text

This book is devoted to developments in postcolonial literature in four geographical spaces: the Indian space,the West Indian space, the Eastern and Western world and the South African space. It explores a highly debated issue in postcolonial studies - the theme of hybridity - as narrated by four outstanding writers coming from different cultural backgrounds: Amitav Ghosh, Derek Walcott, Salman Rushdie and Nadine Gordimer.

Titus Pop è docente presso l'Università cristiana Partium di Oradea. È autore di Imaginary Everyman's Land: The Plea for a Hybrid Identity in S. Rushdie's Discourse e Cultural and Linguistic Hybridity in Postcolonial Text. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Filologia presso l'Università Ovest di Timisoara.
