Cultural facilities in the UEMOA region, the case of Burkina Faso and Benin

Cultural infrastructures are the pillar of the dissemination of arts and culture in a country. By infrastructure, we mean all the material, technical, human and organizational devices implemented by cultural actors to make the entire value chain of cultural and creative industries active. Whether it is cinema halls, sound recording studios, theaters, cultural structures and other cultural events, they should be organized in such a way that they serve all cultural actors and the public. In order to do this, it is important to know, whether the establishment of an infrastructure in a city, the creation of a festival in a region, the opening of a cinema or a theater is always the solution to make the cultural sector of the city or region dynamic. If cinemas and other cultural events continue to suffer, it is therefore necessary to reorganize the technique and adapt the theories of culture to their geographical and cultural context.
