Cultural Hegemony and Voices of the Marginalised

The world we live in changes so fast in terms of communication, technology, lifetsyles, healthcare, beauty care, entertainment, transport, education, etc. ,but we still reel under the influence of many idiosyncrasies which limit our thought processes and our perspectives of looking at things like-caste, creed, religion , race, gender, tradition , and whatnot. In spite of all the development happening in many fields , we always hear about mass killings, communal riots based on religion, gang rapes, domestic violence , child trafficking , etc. Whether there will be a full stop to all these incidents? I think, it's time we explore our own self and make a pledge that I should be the change the world needs to start now .That I will respect women, respect all the religions, all the people in this world , and never try to colonize peoples' minds in whatever way is easier.
