Cultural mobility at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz

Over the past few years, we have seen an enormous increase in international student mobility. This book deals with narrative interviews with Eastern European and Asian students. In these narratives, the students recount their personal musical careers, thereby enabling a contrastive case comparison. Questions of similarities and differences are the focus of this work. Embedded in Bauman's theory of liquid modernity, it shows how the cultural world of students is shaped in their careers and what it is like at the time of their studies.
