Culture and Physical Education

The concept of culture has gone through different decades and meanings, ranging from cultivating something to being synonymous with developed civilisations. However, armed and literary wars have made this concept a little broader. Thus, with the development of anthropological studies, we finally had a very comprehensive meaning for culture: all of humanity's production. A certain resistance to this definition on the part of the elites inspired a group called the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Culture to develop Cultural Studies. Understanding Physical Education as a production of humanity, the aim is, through a historical review, to understand how cultural arenas act on our object of study.
