This book explains the relationship between traditional religion and traditional medicine in Zimbabwe, introducing the hierarchy of spirit mediums and the relationship between God, Divine Angels and the different levels of spirits. Detailed reports of case studies are used to illustrate views of spirit mediums and other people towards demystifyind traditional systems and propose ways to make traditional systems known to people. The case studies illustrate views on inclusion of traditional systems in the school curricula, and involvement of people in ceremonial activities. The final chapters give an overview of traditional medicine and traditional religion. Colleagues and Journal Editors have described this book as suitable resource material for introducing students to studies in the fields of traditional religion, traditional medicine, and Natural Products Chemistry. Takawira Kazembe, BSc (hons) Chemistry CNAA, UK; MPhil,Chemistry (UZ); Grad DE (UZ), has worked as Analytical Chemist in the Ministry of Health in Zimbabwe; as a Laboratory Manager in the Tobacco Industry and is currently a University of Zimbabwe lecturer in Organic Chemistry in the Department of Science and Mathematics Education.
