Current Status of Household WTP on Child Malnutrition

This study focuses on the current state of knowledge, attitudes and practices of households in the Miti-Murhesa health zone regarding the prevention of malnutrition. The objective is to contribute to the prevention and reduction of malnutrition by households in the Miti-Murhesa health zone. It is a descriptive cross-sectional study. It involved a sample of 120 households drawn from 6 health districts. An indirectly administered survey questionnaire was used to collect data from households. The significance level considered in this study is P Value <0.05. The OR (Odds Ration) excluding the value of 1 with 95% CI was used for the measures of association between the variables. At the end of this study, we found that (77.5%) of the respondents had ever heard of exclusive breastfeeding. However, (76.3%) had a favorable attitude; (79.5%) of the respondents had practiced exclusive breastfeeding (78.6%) knew that supplementation should be done after 6 months, while (60.8%) had supplemented at less than 6 months.
