Details

Generally maximum work had been done on vibration characteristics of automobile shock absorber. In most of study, vehicle dynamic characteristics of suspension were find out and were used for optimization for good human comfort ride and driving safety. There is significant scope for research on performance characterization of shock absorber. Most of this work was carried for four wheeler suspension both of active and passive type by using quarter car model. From the review of the literature it was also observed that various models of shock absorber were proposed and experimental results were compared with simulation models and found to be validated. There is an ample research opportunity to analyze the effect of changing parameters affecting the automobile suspension in terms of the generated damping force which includes the following parameters.
