Dark Beauty strips away the myths and portrays Goths for who they really are. With a specific focus on Gothic performances in and around Johannesburg, South Africa, Dark Beauty depicts the acceptance and expression this subculture offers to its members. Researched by a non-Goth Dark Beauty draws its foundation from participant observation and focus groups with almost 80 local and international Gothic contributors to provide an objective account of this society.
