Data Modeling and Forecasting using Artificial Intelligence

The project includes two main areas forecasting and modeling of meteorological data. Work also shows the potential of artificial intelligence as design tool in PV applications.Due to their flexibility, symbolic reasoning and explanation capabilities AI-based systems are being developed and implemented worldwide in a wide range of applications. Two models have been developed by using two different AI approaches Neural Network and Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference Scheme (ANFIS) for the prediction of total solar radiation data from only the daily sunshine duration.

Received the B.Sc degree in Electronics Engineering from Pakistan and M.Sc in Control and Electronics from the Teesside University United Kingdom. Currently working as Ph.D research scholar at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Malaysia. Main research interests are digital control of switch mode power supplies,high power LEDs, renewable energy.
