The work starts by analyzing the large amount of data being generated in the academic management system of the San Luis Gonzaga National University in the Ica region of Peru caused by COVID-19. The sample consisted of 481 students of the Systems Engineering career who generated 2837 records in the 2020-I academic semester. The academic performance consisted of evidence of knowledge, performance and attitude in a teaching by competencies. This type of records for the first time are stored in a database of the academic management system implemented as a result of the pandemic. The objective is to find and describe value in the academic performance data by means of Data Science.
