A significant increase of active participation and contribution of people to all kinds of groups and community activities in the Internet has raised significant interest from several business-oriented perspectives. With the popularization of Web 2.0 integrated tools and technologies, it has become possible to store and analyze gathered data within a significantly greater magnitude and deeper level. The results and most importantly, the application aspects of collective intelligence to specific processes using different approaches may be a useful resource applied to the analysis of problem solving and decision-making approaches. The desired outcome is to provide the theory fundaments and the analytical approach to undertake an assessment that should evaluate the performance of collective intelligence resources against a selected business scenario. The assessment as well as the results analysis, assisted by the management and specialists at the organization where the study took place, should deliver valuable references regarding several aspects when considering applying collective intelligence resources to any given business process.
