Defense Strategy of the United States towards South Asia since 2001
Details
This research intends to examine the intentions of the Defense Strategy of the United States towards South Asia; whether it is to combat terrorism as stipulated in National Security Strategy 2002 US Documents, or whether it has other intentions unrelated to what US has put down on print. Yet, implicit to the process of social evolution and the globalization of international relations it could be otherwise or different from what is publicly declared. At the end, the author contends that, the US interest in nuclear non-proliferation of arms and a growing consumer consciousness and a satisfied voting public in the US political elite itself, and also among the entire world itself indicates to a change of attitude and policy of the super power in the direction of cooperation and mutual benefit.
