Mauritania is an African country located on the northwest coast of the continent and its capital is Nouakchott. This capital was born at the same time as the independent state. The population of Mauritania is estimated at three million inhabitants. Its surface area is 1031,000km2 between the Maghreb and Black Africa in the middle of the desert which constitute more than 95% of its territory, two thirds of which is Saharan. The official language of this country is Arabic. Its population is composed of several ethnic groups: the "beïdanes" Moors of Arab-Berber culture, the Haalpulars, the Soninkés and the Wolofs constitute the black populations of this country. The economic activity of this country is mainly based on:Industry: iron ore, copper, gold and oil.Livestock: sheep, goats and camels.Agriculture: the fertile and cultivated lands are the valleys of the Senegal River andthe Oases; cultivation under the rains.And fishing, while pointing out that it has the most fishy coast in the world. the world.
