Democratic Values and Sportsmanship in School Recreation

This book aims to examine the relationship between democratic values and sportsmanship in physical education in the context of recreational participation. Firstly, the relationship between recreation, basic democratic values and sportsmanship will be explained, then the results of the research on middle school students examining the relationship between democratic values and sportsmanship will be explained and recommendations will be given in the context of recreation-democracy-sportsmanship.

Dr. Sevim GÜLLÜ is an academic at Istanbul University-Cerrahpasa, Faculty of Sport Sciences. She has been actively volunteering for the Turkish National Olympic Committee (TOC) Fair Play Commission for a long time, serving as Vice President. Additionally, she is a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Fair Play Movement.
