This book, "DENTISTRY ON WHEELS", is an insight to the widespread utilization and improvement of oral health care services among different group of patients throughout the world through mobile dentistry. This is a highlight of the mobile dental clinics prevailing in various countries, its success and failure. Health services in most of developing countries are deficient and available care does not meet the needs and demands of many communities. Due to the lack of oral health services including dental manpower, there is an enormous back log of unmet dental treatment needs and the facilities available are inadequate and insufficient to cope up with the increasing levels of oral diseases and demand for various treatments. Strong cultural barriers, as a result of people's illiteracy, beliefs and attitudes regarding oral care affect the utilization of dental services. The mobile dental clinics have been successfully used to provide dental treatment to school children, disabled patients, rural communities, industrial workers and the armed forces of various countries.
