Deregulation of the Nigerian Sector

This book is a publication of the author s academic research work. It was originally carried out to assess the Government's plan towards downstream oil sector deregulation, all arguments were assessed and findings were also made. This study, therefore, attempt to examine the deregulation of the oil sector vis-à-vis the economic, political and social implications on the life of the Nigerian people. The issues of deregulation of the industry has generated a lot of controversies from various quarters of the country.

Usman Abdulraheem Yakubu holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Political Science and Developmental Studies respectively from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He is currently undergoing his Ph.D programme in Local Government and Developmental Studies at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria - Nigeria. He is a member of many professional institutes.
