Derivation of operation rule for Ilisu dam

The book talked about how to operate the Ilisu dam in Turkey. In this research two approaches, were used the dynamic programming (DP) approach and simulation model to find the optimal monthly operation of Ilisu Dam (from an Iraqi point of view) through a computer program to find the optimum monthly release and storage by adopting an objective function that minimizes the release and storage losses (penalty). The book looked at reduce the water losses to neighboring countries such as Iraq. The book also predicted about quantity of discharge from the dam for 100 years to come using accurate scientific calculations.
