Description of General Surgery

Surgery is one of the treatment methods in medicine. In this method, it usually involves an incision to remove a part of the body (such as the gallbladder, tonsils, or appendix) or an infected or cancerous tissue, or the use of a device (such as a prosthesis or an artificial valve) or manipulation and correction of a defect (such as sewing an aneurysm or opening a vein). There is a strong possibility that surgery was created at the same time as the emergence of medicine. A person who has the ability to perform surgery correctly is called a surgeon or a surgical specialist. A general surgeon performs surgery in his specialty in the operating room. There are different types of surgeries, including heart surgery, neurosurgery, gynecology and obstetrics surgery, cosmetic surgery, etc., each of which is performed by a general surgery specialist in that field. A general surgeon must give comfort to his patients and arouse their trust and confidence. He must bear a lot of work pressure and make quick and correct decisions. A surgeon must have a lot of deep knowledge in various fields of medical sciences, especially physiology, biochemistry, pathology and anatomy.
