Description of Some Aphid Species (Homoptera: Aphididae: Aphidinae)

The book includes brief diagnosis of Family, subfamily, genera and species. Keys to Tribes, genera and species where ever necessary are given. The species represented in this region are briefly described and illustrated. Notes on coloration are also given. Some useful observations made on their biology, pest-plant, pest-predator, pest-parasite relationships including distribution of Aphid species in different localities are incorporated.

The first author, Dr. Mohd. Kamil Usmani is Associate Professor in the Department of Zoology, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh. He did his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in taxonomy in 1979 and 1982 respectively. Since then he is working on taxonomy, biology and ecology of Acridids and Aphids and at present is one of the leading authorities on this group.
