The power semiconductor devices have completely revolutionized the control of drives especially in the areas of control by using thyristors IGBT's Power MOSFET etc. The methodology used in this book is simply using power electronic switching devices to rotate DC series motor at different speed by using the pulse width modulation (PWM) technique the power electronic circuit is interfaced with the PIC microcontroller which generates the required PWM signal.

Muhammad Saad was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan in June 8, 1990, He received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering from the HITEC University, Pakistan, in 2013, and Masters degrees in Power engineering from University of South Australia in 2015 respectively. A member of IEEE power and energy society.
