Design and Development of Sustained Release Tablet

The present book titled "Design and Development of Sustained Release Tablet" describes about a novel approach to design and develop such a sustained release matrix tablet formulation which will prove to be advantageous in many aspects. The formulation is possible with the help of an optimized blend of polymers and suitable and compatible excipients. The formulation aspect proves to be advantageous over conventional tablet dosage form. Emphasis has been given on true evaluation of the prepared matrix tablet which assures about the promising future perspective for such matrix tablet formulation to achieve the set objectives. Authors hope for assuring the readers about in depth knowledge of developing matrix tablet formulation to acquire sustained release of the drug (Metformin Hydrochloride) and studying the effect of sintering technique over the drug release in-vitro". Moreover, Authors welcome suggestions from the experts to continuously upgradation of the content.
