Design and Development of the Web Portal

The author examines the possibility of using the concept of a Web portal to support the academic's task performance. The central research question is to ascertain what factors should be taken into account during the design and development of an academic portal. A model was identified as a conceptual framework for the study. During the interviews, this model was validated as a sufficient framework to explain the personal management of academic information and knowledge.
