This book describes a new approach to GPS Signal Acquisition algorithm, the first and arguably the most critical step in a GPS receiver architecture chain. A software defined receiver is the target while working on the proposed scheme. In such scenarios, there is stringent constriction of time and space. The smaller TTFF is a significant metric to weigh acquisition scheme among other prevailing techniques. The preliminary results have been satisfactory as there is still need of more rigorous testing in variety of situations.

Naveed Ahmed holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from NED University of Engineering and Technology, Karachi and Aerospace Engineering from Beihang University, Beijing. He has been involved in various projects related to communication and embedded systems. He is currently researcher at Seamless Transportation, Yonsei University, South Korea.
