Design for additive manufacturing with topological optimization

This book proposes and evaluates a new methodology to improve the mechanical properties of parts manufactured by additive manufacturing using finite element simulations and a topological optimization tool. The methodology allows to define an internal rearrangement of the material in the part with low impact on the cost and manufacturing time, obtaining considerable advantages on its strength.
