Design of a turbine for the Vaupés River in Mitú

Colombia is a country brimming with natural resources that can be used for the generation of energy to help mitigate the impact of climate change worldwide. This work focuses on the use of the hydraulic resource for this purpose, seeking to provide electric energy by means of a Gorlov-type three-blade turbine to a rural household located on the banks of the Vaupés River in Mitú.
