Level of service at the airport check-in area is
important not only to passengers but also to the
airport operators and airlines. This book explains
a computational method to design or redesign check-in
halls using concepts about level of service,
passenger arrival fluctuations, furniture layout,
queue arrangement, number of counters and
optimization techniques. The concept proposed in
this book may be applicable to other types of
transport interchanges as well.
