In this book, we propose the implementation of expandable and retractable storage systems in waste collection vehicles to enhance their accessibility in both small and large areas. The primary objective is to optimize the efficiency of waste collection operations by enabling vehicles to navigate through narrow spaces while still maintaining a high storage capacity for waste collection. The expandable storage feature will allow the vehicle to increase its storage capacity when operating in larger areas or during peak collection times. This will help reduce the frequency of trips to disposal sites, thereby improving overall operational efficiency and reducing fuel consumption.
