DESIGN OF PIPES FOR OIL AND GAS TRANSPORTATION

The international demand for oil and natural gas is increasing day by day. As a result of this work it was found that it is necessary to increase the flow rate of the pipes of their supply with the increase of their operating pressures as well as with the expansion of the pipeline network. Although this is very expensive due to the large projects and geopolitical problems that may be encountered. Therefore, we also see the need to increase the strength of the pipes. On the other hand, the thickness of the pipes, and the properties of mechanical resistance and chemical products transported must be improved taking into account various problems of degradation of these pipes which undergo corrosion attacks that greatly contribute to the reduction of their properties of their service life.
