Unmanned Aerial vehicles have gained immense popularity in recent time in commercial applications, especially quadcopters, due to their multiple civil applications and low manufacturing and customisation on the basis of customer needs, but they still face one major issue of low flight time. This book describe in detail the methodology of flight time optimization, which is being achieved through integration of solar panels in the quadcopter for the utilization of solar energy as a power source along with the conventional DC source battery and by efficient weight reduction of the quadcopter for flight time optimization.

Dr. Amit Kumar Singh is currently working as an Assistant professor at NIT, Jalandhar. He did his PhD degree at IIT, Roorkee and M. Tech from NIT, Kurukshetra, with Gold Medal. He has published many papers in indexed journals and conference proceedings. His research area is Control system Application, process control and renewable energy.
