Determinants of Firm Export Performance in Uganda

Ever since 1960s, despite sustained growth in volumes of literature on Firm Export Performance, not much has been empirically done on this subject drawing experiences from the developing economies, especially Africa. That made generalization and research conclusions rather ineffective. No wonder, international trade volumes have continued to dwindle across the globe. This has been a big gap that can not be left unattended if inclusive economic development is to be achieved. Remember, the developing world remains fresh, resourceful and hence has great potential to sustain and indeed energize economic growth. It is now in this systematic meticulously examined manuscript that this gap has been filled. It is in this manuscript that firm level export and/or foreign trade insights can be accurately gained to lead the developing world firms to a sustained export-led economic development and growth. Insights from developing world presented in this volume complete the five decade research in this vital subject.
