Determinants of Outcomes of Tuberculosis treatment in Plateau State

This work explored and identified some of the pertinent factors that determine the outcomes of TB treatment. The study revealed the key issues to include knowledge of the patients on the duration for the treatment of TB, distance to TB treatment sites, behavioral factors of the patients and the health care workers attitudes towards the patients. This book will be of great help to TB program managers to focus interventions to the specific problem areas in the control program to achieve the target for the elimination of this important public health concern.

Dr. Luka Mangveep Ibrahim has 18 years working experience in TB control program in Nigeria. A graduate of the field epidemiology and laboratory training program and the first African to win the prestigious William Foege award at the 2012 epidemic intelligence service conference, Atlanta USA.
