Determinants of Political Governance and Investment Trends in Pakistan

Governance as a concept and application in general and political governance in particular is always considered as a sin-quo-non the speedy growth and economic prosperity of a country. It also helps to develop sustainable economic environment which is a prerequisite for investment. It is generally observed that political and economic governance and business competitiveness are interlinked. Competitiveness in terms of economic structure; institutions, policies and factors always affect directly and indirectly on the economic emancipation of a country. Pakistan got independence in 1947 but history shows that Pakistan has been facing political and economic issues. Although various governments in Pakistan made several reforms but due to one reason or the other couldn't achieve required level of success. The book has discussed in detail reasons of business uncompetitiveness in Pakistan.
