Details
Precision agriculture or site-specific crop management is knowledge-based farming technique that deals with applying the right amount of inputs at the right location at the right time to enhance production, decrease input, and/or protect the environment. Variable rate spray applications using intelligent control systems can greatly reduce pesticide use and off-target contamination of environment in agricultural productions. The equipment with variable rate functions for tree crops is limited to color sensor based control systems that only detect green color to switch nozzles on or off. It reduces the pesticides loss in application and off-target spraying.
