Development of a Biometrics-Based Student Attendance System

This book carefully combines the breadths and depth of biometrics technology while integrating theory and practice to design and implement an attendance system for students and lecturers management in higher learning institutions, so as to overcome the flaws of manual attendance system. It also provides a better appreciation of the complexities involved in designing an enterprise software application, the designed and the implemented system meets the outlined requirements at the beginning of the project. The final prototype proved to be a successful potential replacement for attendance recording systems currently used in many institutions of learning.
