Intensive research into the properties of synthetic compounds is being conducted simultaneously with research into the efficacy and safety of drugs derived from natural compounds. These drugs have been effectively used for years in dentistry, in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the oral cavity and in laryngology, in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the pharynx. The book presents an analysis of the range of medicinal preparations based on medicinal raw materials used in the treatment of oral mucosa.The composition of the gel of the extract of the roots of common aira (Acorus calamus, Linnaeus, 1753) for the treatment of oral mucosa is developed. Experimental samples of the gel containing the extract, Na- CMC and citric acid were obtained.
