This book is intended to academicians and researchers who work in the area of induction motor fault diagnosis. Induction motors are the most significant components of almost all the industries. They consume about 50-60 percent of the total energy consumed by an industry. So, this book focuses on developing an instrument which detects the major faults of an induction motor, so that proper measures could be taken to overcome the loss of energy and cost. The basic principle is Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA). The major faults like stator short turn faults, rotor faults, bearing faults, air gap eccentricity are presented with the help of Graphical User Interface and fuzzy logic tool.
