Development of modern poultry farming in Mali

Standard broiler rearing consists of rearing chicks to slaughter age, in compliance with rearing standards. For a better growth it is necessary to pay attention to factors such as: nutrition, density, temperature, lighting, hygiene and safety and to the preparation conditions of the building and the equipment. This activity can be carried out in rural or suburban areas, supplied with drinking water and electricity, respecting the required proximity limits with inhabited areas. Livestock establishments must be designed and equipped to ensure the well-being of the animals and to protect them from bad weather (wind, rain, heat, etc.) and from their enemies, especially predators. They must be built with smooth and waterproof materials that are easy to clean and make it easy to apply disinfection measures.
